Rutgers Taekwondo is a club sport open to members of all levels of experience. Our mission at Rutgers Taekwondo is to train our taekwondo martial arts skills for personal and competitive development while learning teamwork, confidence, self-defense, and respect. We are currently raising funds to send Rutgers Taekwondo to the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference (ECTC) tournaments in the spring of 2020 at Princeton University and the University of Vermont. The funds will be used to pay for competitor registration fees, transportation, and lodging.

Rutgers University has previously been the Division II champion in ECTC and by helping us reach more tournaments, we can work to defend that position and possibly move up to Division I. We recently wrapped up our Fall 2019 season after attending tournaments at MIT, Cornell University, and Brown University. Our medalists this year are returning members that began as white belts when they first joined the team, and now bring inspiration to new members to compete as well!

Our team has grown every year and many of our members are eager to train and compete, whether they are new or returning. We foster a great sense of pride and accomplishment not only for the team but for Rutgers as a whole when we compete against other universities. However, we are more than just a team looking to win medals—we are a community that trains to grow together. With the proper funds, we could send all our members who would love the opportunity to compete against other collegiate teams to hone their skills.
All donations are welcome and would be much appreciated! No donation is too small and even sharing our fundraiser and spreading the word would be a great help. Thank you!
