Minority Rights in an Era of Global Populism Lecture Series
In times of national crisis, minorities are the first to be scapegoated to appease societal fears. As the world faces the worst public health pandemic in over a century, racial and religious minorities are experiencing a troubling rise in discrimination and violence. The best antidote to misplaced anxiety is education and accurate information. Toward that end, the Center for Security, Race and Rights (CSRR) at Rutgers Law School is hosting the Minority Rights in an Era of Global Populism Lecture Series.

The lecture series aims to combat hate and ignorance through a series of six public lectures in the fall of 2020 and the spring of 2021. Scholars and practitioners will present their deep expertise on the rise of anti-Muslim racism, anti-Semitism, anti-Asian racism, and other forms of bigotry against minorities in the era of right-wing populism. Like past lectures hosted by CSRR, each timely lecture will be live-streamed and posted on our Youtube channel here for viewing across the nation and globe.
